Ages of the Libraryby ~Versatis

Another mixed media work connected with my personal mythology of the Library of White Books. This work represents the vademecum of navigation through the time, through the Ages of the Library which intertwine each other, constantly fluctuate. Since the fact of creation and discovery within the Library of White Books does not belong to the dependecies of time, nor any schematic chronology.

Again, the reflection of aluminium foil and gold liquid is subdued by the scan. :/

Na pocieszenie powiem, że w realu jest bardziej wrażeniowe za sprawą srebrnych i złotych odblasków (nawet stary papier jest miejscami pociągnięty perlistym złotem). A są to barwy i elementy, które zawsze chciałem zatrudnić do wykonania pracy. Kolory w założeniu są biblioteczne: biel, bez i złoto jako barwy ksiąg, czerń inkaustu i srebro oświecenia.

W odpowiedzi na nurtujące pytanie: praca ma mniejszy format jakieś 30x25cm. Zaś skojarzenie z mapą jest bardzo trafne i niezwykle mnie cieszy, bo w założeniu tak właśnie miało być. Tylko, że jedną mapę w galerii już mam, a tu mogłoby być to zbyt dosłowne (tak samo jak "9 Wieków" które mnie kusiło jako tytuł ) - "Ages of the Library" pozostawia miejsce na interpretacje. Twoja jest świetna. Naprawdę. Dzięki za komentarz, pozdrawiam.

This is the piece I planned for a long time. Something that employs 'colours' of the library - white of clear, unwritten paper, beige (and gold) of old books, black of the ink, and silver of the knowledge, or the illumination. In fact, I started working on this one with intention of making a some kind of map, and I think it still can be perceived this way. (: Thank you very much for your comment and aprreciation.
