Anyone who knows me knows I love good, strong textural work, and Secret Parallel by ~Versatis shows that upfrontin much the same way as early Dave McKean works did. (

I use oils most often and I must admit that I've never tried watercolours yet (but that's a question of time). On the other hand, the oil is quite diluted with turpentine in this case and used the way watercolours are used, so the effect is similar. Thank for the comment and
This is absolutely beautiful. I love the way the left side presents a wall of colour while the right is more like a crashing tide, with those blurred, frayed strokes pushing the eye across the composition. Really expressive, I'm impressed.
all handwriting is written by myself and the middle part contains some symbols which are rather suggesting astrological/navigational associations more than being a pure scientific scheme. glad you like it, thanks!
The diversity of color and shape create a pretty deep composition here...I like how it appeals to the eye. Hints at hidden images or pieces of them really draw the eye to different parts of the piece. I like the effect it gives. And the script adds a touch of grace that's familiar but still intriguing. I like it very much.
